The halter neck mini dress in butter yellow, cut with a gathered blouson bodice that falls loose to a dropped waist above a short ruffled hem.

The neckband ties in a bow at the back and the whole back is left open below it. Rows of fine pintucks band the hip, and the skirt drops from there in two layers of ruffle. A tonal stripe runs through the fabric, showing as texture rather than colour.

The loose bodice and short hem make this one easier to wear in heat than a fitted mini. It works for a summer party, a holiday dinner or a day at the races, and takes a low heel as shown.
